ISSUE that was fixed – all OG:Images must be a minimum of 200x200px.

RTM sites were pulling the Fantastic Voyage header from iOne3preprod when URLs were shared on social media. This was tracked down to our theme dictating OG:Image use the iOne Social image first and then the Site Icon is used. Both images were smaller than 200px x 200px which was causing the Fantastic Voyage header from iOne3preprod to be retreaved.

All RTM sites Social Share images were changed to be larger than 200px x 200px which has fixed the issue.

Dev notes from JIRA tickets below:

I updated Atlanta Daily World as an example, and used Facebook Developer’s Sharing Debugger to scrape the site – https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/?q=https%3A%2F%2Fatlantadailyworld.com%2F

Based on the theme’s code, the OG:Image is set to use the iOne Social image first:

If the iOne Social Image is not set then the Site Icon is used:

If both images are setup and the image is less than 200×200 pixels, Facebook will scrape the homepage for an appropriate image. See https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/?q=https%3A%2F%2Fnewpittsburghcourieronline.com%2F

If neither setting (Social Icon / Site Icon) is used, then the iOnePreProd default image is used.
